This Way Lit

This Way Lit is a DIY independent project dedicated to publishing surreal fiction in the form of handmade zines. We publish standalone flash pieces because we believe every story deserves its own spotlight. If you would like to submit, read our guidelines below.

Guidelines:

Stories must be between 400 and 1000 words.
Work cannot be previously published.
Please wait a full month before submitting again.
Please include a brief cover letter and bio in your email body.
Attach your piece as a separate PDF file.

Submit stories by email to [email protected].
All submissions will be read. We will try to reply within a week if your work has been accepted. We can only publish one story a month at this point in time, so if you don't hear from us within 30 days of submitting, we have not chosen your work. Feel free to resubmit the same story if you really believe in it, or a new story, after 30 days. Writers will receive $25 USD upon publication. All rights revert to the author after publication.
